I love technology. The process of researching, development and launching new products into the marketplace is fascinating. Keeping pace with an ever-evolving ecosystem of technology is both fun and challenging. I can only hope to be a part of it for many years to come.

2020 ~ 2023 ~ Smarsh

  • Partnered with executives to position and launch new Smarsh Enterprise Platform, including persona development, competitive analysis, product positioning, demand generation and more.
  • Coordinated marketing & announcement efforts around the acquisition of AI technology provider Digital Reasoning.
  • Lead competitive intelligence team for collection, distribution and analysis across a wide variety of enterprise solutions.
  • Built robust sales onboarding programs for rapidly expanding sales team and infrastructure.

  • Created innovative, new methods to engage the core audiences for B2B sales lead generation, and new customer acquisition for B2C products.
  • Translated complex technical data for sales training, customer education and sales support.
  • Evangelized Extensis products at speaking engagements, including SXSW, WebVisions, Future of Web Design, IAITAM Ace, and Technology for Marketing and Advertising (TFM&A) and many more.
  • Developed mobile iOS application to foster further customer brand engagement.

  • Acted as the public face of Extensis through speaking engagements, online authored content, webcasts, social media presence and more.
  • Developed and executed online reputation and brand management strategy, including Twitter, corporate blog, Facebook and more.
  • Lead sales lead generation efforts through a variety of channels, including email campaigns, physical mail, online advertising, content development and more.

Senior Technical Writer / Social Marketing Manager

2005 ~ 2010  ~ Extensis

  • Built social marketing strategy from the ground up – including all newly released social media platforms – Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, and industry related public forums.
  • Created successful, PRSA award-winning corporate blog.
  • Presented product webcasts for presales lead generation and customer training.
  • Created demonstration videos for customer training, corporate marketing and event demonstration.
  • Staffed booth at corporate promotional events.
  • Created white papers, technical briefs, media evaluation guides, and knowledge base content.
  • Managed localization of all documentation into multiple targeted languages.
  • Developed documentation for the entire Extensis product line.

Marketing Technical Writer

2003 ~ 2005  ~ Extensis

  • Developed and maintained documentation for the entire Extensis suite of products – over half a dozen at a time – requiring significant multitasking and prioritization.
  • Wrote white papers and technical briefs for presales support.
  • Produced press evaluation guides to present new and updated products to the press.
  • Developed knowledge base content for post-sales support.
  • Created new training materials for end-users and administrators of Portfolio.
  • Managed localization of all documentation into French, German and Japanese.
  • Managed contract writers and engineers for the creation of additional written content.

Technical Writer

2000 ~ 2003 ~ Cadence Design Systems

  • Developed and maintained online documentation systems.
  • Managed upgrade of complex help systems to current technical standards.
  • Built team communication tools, including new intranet site.
  • Translated technical details from software engineers to create resources for use in outbound sales marketing efforts.
  • Developed technical white papers and knowledge base content for sales and support.
